Product Description: Noise Reduction Rating - NRR 33 Tapered foam for a soft, comfortable fit. EPAPROTECHS™ Work Earplugs feature a tapered design for comfort and help block out the sounds of power tools and lawnmowers. Heavy-duty protection, perfect for demanding jobs. Independently tested to the highest standards of NRR, they provide robust protection for the loudest environments, and the tapered shape provides a secure, comfortable seal without pressure. Ultra-soft, lightweight foam for a comfortable fit. Shaped to fit the smallest of ear canals. Smooth, non-irritating surface. Information required by EPA: The noise level delivered to the human ear when a hearing aid is worn according to the guidelines is approximately approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: The environmental noise level measured at the ear is 92 dBA. The NRR is 33 decibels (decibels). The level of noise transmitted to the ear is approximately 92 decibels (A) to 59 decibels (A). 33 decibel noise reduction rating (when used according to instructions) The noise reduction rating of conventional hearing protectors ranges from approximately 0 to 30 (the higher the number, the more effective it is).
How to use the product: Moldex foam earplugs must be worn and worn effectively to provide effective protection. Consult with a supervisor or audiologist before wearing the product. Wash or clean your hands before use. Roll and Compress With clean hands, hold the earplug with your thumb and index finger as shown in the figure. Roll the entire tapered end of the earplug into a small cylinder without wrinkles and gradually compress it. Point your hand over your head as shown in the insertion figure and gently pull your ear upward and outward. Insert the tapered compression-type earplug end well into the outer ear canal. Press for 30 to 60 seconds until the earplug breaks. Release and press again for 5 seconds to ensure a seal. Correct fit When the earplug is inserted correctly, the lower edge of the earplug is at the entrance of the ear canal. Incorrect fit If part of the earplug enters the ear canal, the effect will be reduced. User fit check Put the earplug on in a noisy environment, put the cup hands in both ears, and then remove them. If the earplug is placed correctly, there will be no significant difference in noise attenuation. If it is not yet properly fitted, move to a quiet place and repeat the fitting instructions. Earplug removal Remove the earplug slowly. Twist gently to break the seal slowly. Removing too quickly can damage the eardrum.
Caution: Do not cut the earplug. Close adult supervision is required when using by children. Inspect the plug before use and replace it if it is damaged or shows signs of use. Do not use for long periods of time. This product is for single use only. Infants and children should not put the earplug in the windpipe, which may cause suffocation. If you experience pain or discomfort when taking this product, stop taking it. For environments where frequencies below 500 Hz are predominant, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of the device may reduce noise reduction. Refer to the enclosed product insert for proper fit. Although the use of earplugs is recommended to prevent damage from excessive noise, the noise reduction ratio (NRR) is based on continuous noise reduction and cannot completely block out non-continuous noises such as gunshots. Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. Label complies with US EPA Regulation 40 CFR Part 211 Subpart B.
