Product Description: Noise Reduction Rating - 33 Decibels Highest NRR Independently Tested Tapered shape for soft comfort and a great seal. Foam Earplugs EPAPROTECHS™ SPORT earplugs have the highest noise reduction rating independently tested to block out excessive noise such as stadium noise, gunshots, etc. Noise Reduction Rating: 33 Decibels (when used as directed). Conventional hearing protection ranges in noise reduction ratings from approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers indicate greater effectiveness). Information required by EPA: When wearing a hearing aid according to the guidelines, the noise level delivered to the human ear is approximately approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: The environmental noise level measured at the ear is 92 dBA. The NRR is 33 decibels (decibels). The noise level delivered to the ear is approximately equal to 92 decibels (A) to 59 decibels (A).
How to Use: With clean hands, slowly insert the plug into the wrinkle-free cylinder. Insert the plug into the ear canal while pressing it. Pulling the outer ear outward and upward while inserting will make it easier to wear. Use your fingertips to hold the plug in place until it begins to expand and block out noise. The degree of noise reduction will vary depending on the proper insertion method.
Caution: Do not cut the earplug. Inspect the plug before use and replace it if it shows any damage or signs of use. Do not use for long periods of time. This product is for single use only. Keep the earplug out of reach of infants and children, as they may get caught in the windpipe and suffocate. Stop using this product if you feel pain or discomfort. Prolonged exposure to noise above 85 decibels can cause gradual hearing loss. For environments where the frequency of vibration is below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper attachment of the device will reduce the noise reduction effect. Refer to the enclosed product manual for proper attachment. Although earplugs are recommended to prevent damage from excessive noise, the noise reduction ratio (NRR) is based on continuous noise reduction and cannot completely block out discontinuous noises such as gunshots.
