A timeless masterpiece of a Japanese-made operational game that recreates the final major German offensive.
"Battle of the Bulge" is a war simulation game that recreates the "Defend the Rhine," the German army's final major offensive on the Western Front at the end of World War II. It accurately recreates the battles of the time, and with its reasonable game balance and play time, it has gained many fans as a timeless masterpiece of a Japanese-made operational game.
"Battle of the Bulge" was released by Epoch Publishing in 1981, and after two reprints, has become the Japan Wargame Classics (JWC) edition. The JWC edition not only clarifies the terrain and rules, which was a popular request, but also adds an operational research booklet to serve as a guide for gameplay.
In addition, the size of the frames has been increased from 12.5mm to 15mm in this second edition to make them easier to read and use, and the map size has also been enlarged. Also, spelling errors in city names that were incorrect in the original edition have been corrected.
