The "Final Fantasy" series, affectionately known as "FF," has continued to shock players with each sequel. Along with "Dragon Quest," it's a masterpiece of Japanese fantasy RPGs. The original "Final Fantasy I" and "Final Fantasy II" are now available on a single cartridge for the GAMEBOY ADVANCE.
This title is an updated version of the wildly popular "Final Fantasy" (1987) and "Final Fantasy II" (1988), released for the FAMICOM, with new and original features. System changes include an MP system for magic spells, instead of a limited number of uses. In addition, facial graphics have been added to conversation scenes, allowing for dynamic expressions.
The GBA version offers two exciting new features. The first is the "Soul of Chaos" dungeon, added in "Final Fantasy I." By fulfilling certain conditions, players can explore a vast, multi-level underground dungeon where four Chaos beings are sealed. New items can also be obtained within the dungeon. The second is the extra episode, "Soul of Rebirth." You can travel to another world by controlling the four heroes who appeared in "II" and died trying to save the world.
"I" tells a time-spanning story about crystals, while "II" depicts unique characters and a beautiful yet tragic human drama. This is a great value title that lets you enjoy two games at once with the latest features and graphics. (Matsumoto Hideyuki)
