MaxxTerra Compound.
An intermediate compound configuration used in some mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer than 3C MaxxSpeed for better traction. Superior treadwear and lower rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
EXO.
We use an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material in the sidewalls of some of our mountain tires. The tightly woven fabric is lightweight, flexible, and doesn't affect tire performance. Choose EXO Protection for extremely rocky, treacherous trails where sidewall cuts and abrasion are more likely.
Tubeless Ready.
Tubeless tires offer many benefits to riders: the ability to run lower air pressures, improved traction, lower rolling resistance compared to tube-type tires, and the lack of a tube reduces the chance of flats. Liquid sealant should only be used with the following types of tires: tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless ready. Using liquid sealant with other Maxxis tires will void the warranty.
Wide Trail.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile for today's modern, wide rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims, creating an overly square tire profile that can reduce optimal performance. While WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width, they've proven to work with inner rim widths ranging from 30mm to 35mm, depending on rider preference.

3C MaxxTerra: 3C MaxxTerra is the intermediate triple-compound configuration used in Maxxis mountain tires. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed and better treadwear and lower rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, making it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
