It is easy to dye your hair without damaging its structure if you use natural Indian basma from the Triuga brand. It allows you to dye your curls black, as well as significantly improve their condition. Basma has been known since ancient times and was widely used in ancient civilizations to dye hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. Like henna, it is extracted from the powdered leaves of a plant, but not lawsonia, but indigo. Its composition is enriched with vitamins and biologically active substances that nourish the scalp, make the strands stronger and give them a healthy glow.
Features of Ayurvedic basma from the Triuga brand:
- 100% natural;
- gives curls a rich black color;
- has excellent resistance;
- has a strengthening effect on hair follicles;
- stimulates active growth of curls;
- has a positive effect on the scalp;
- prevents dandruff;
- makes strands shiny;
- suitable for all hair types.
To dye your hair dark, mix henna with basma and pour water (not lower than 80°C), mix until the consistency of sour cream. Apply the slightly cooled mass to dry clean hair and put on a thermal cap. Select the ratio of henna and basma individually depending on the desired color. Dyeing time from 30 min. to 2 hours. After dyeing, rinse your hair with water without shampoo. The final color appears after 24 hours. It is not recommended to dye blond hair without henna.
There are two ways to combine henna and basma - separate and simultaneous.
When dyeing separately, the hair is first dyed with henna, as described above, and then with basma. Basma is prepared in the same way as henna, immediately before dyeing, but the solution should be slightly thinner. After soaking, the hair is washed with warm water.
The exposure time depends on the desired shade, on average:
- 15-20 minutes (light brown shade);
- 1-1.5 hours (chestnut shade);
- 2-3 hours (intense black color).
When dyeing hair simultaneously, pour the required amount of henna and basma into a bowl (50-200 g in total, depending on the length of the hair), pour boiling water over it and stir until a homogeneous gruel is formed, to the consistency of thick sour cream. To obtain the desired shade of hair, a certain ratio of henna and basma is taken.
To obtain:
- for light brown hair, 1 part of basma is taken for 1 part of henna; exposure time - 30 minutes;
- light chestnut tone: 1 part of henna is taken with 1 part of basma; exposure time - 1 hour;
- chestnut tone: 2 parts basma are taken for 1 part henna; exposure time - 1.5 hours;
- bronze tone: 1 part basma is taken for 2 parts henna; exposure time - 1.5 hours;
- black color: 1 part henna to 3 parts basma; holding time - 4 hours.
When dyeing your hair with basma, it is undesirable to wash your hair with shampoo or other alkaline products for at least three days after dyeing.
If your hair turns out darker than desired after dyeing it with basma, you can rinse it with water acidified with vinegar or lemon juice.
