HD Mini-SAS Cable Configuration This is an external mini HD Serial Attached SCSI x4 (SFF-8644) to mini Serial Attached SCSI x4 (SFF-8088) cable. Referred to as a High Density HD System, HD Mini-SAS (SFF-8644) meets the SAS 2.1 standard, and meets the 6Gb/s SAS specification. These new HD connectors use the SAS 3.0 specification when the cable material is released. There is a change in the connector, but the next generation of SAS will be able to run up to 12Gb/s.
