Points for Attention
1.Before measurement, check whether the position of the range selection knob is correct.
2.If the current or voltage to be measured is unknown, set the measuring range to the highest gear, and conduct the measurement after correct measurement and selection.
3.The maximum DC current range is 250(500)mA, and the maximum voltage range is 500(1000)V.
Measurement Steps
1.First check whether the pointer is on the zero indexing line, otherwise turn the zero adjuster for adjustment.
2.DC Current (DCA)
(1)Insert the red plug of the test rod into the instrument + and the black plug into the instrument - .
(2)Set the measuring range to the highest gear of the current measuring range.
(3)Contact the probe of the test rod with the circuit to be tested and connect it in series with the circuit to be tested.
(4)Read the indicated value from the second scale (mAV) of the dial.
(5)If the reading on the scale is too small, turn down one gear until the best indication is obtained.
3.DC / AC Voltage (DCV, ACV)
(1)Set the range selection to the maximum limit of voltage.
(2)Connect the probe of the test rod across the circuit under test (in parallel).
(3)Read the indicated value from the second scale. Note that the 10V gear reads the indicated value from the third scale (special for AC 10V).
(4)If the reading on the scale is too small, turn down one gear until the best indication is obtained.
4.Resistance (OHM)
(1)Set the measuring range to the corresponding gear.
(2)Short circuit the probe of the test rod and adjust the adjustment knob to stop the pointer on the zero ohm dividing line. If the pointer cannot be adjusted to the zero ohm dividing line, the battery is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
(3)Read the resistance value from the first scale (OHM) during measurement.
(4)Use the test rod probe to measure the resistance of the device under test, which shall be connected in series with the device under test.
(5)Note: If the resistance of the circuit is measured, cut off the power supply of the circuit and discharge all capacitors.
