The Edge AutoSHARP is an innovative knife sharpener that automatically adjusts the sharpening angle depending on the knife model. With the AutoSHARP sharpener you can sharpen and polish not only kitchen knives, but also EDC knives, cleavers and outdoor knives. Simple construction The whetstone has a polymer construction, resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions. Its small size and minimal weight mean that despite its kitchen purpose, it can also accompany us on camping, hunting and other activities during which we will need a sharp knife. The sharpener has a non-slip base, a double-sided grip and a sharpening slot. Automatic sharpening angle Unlike classic V-type sharpeners, the angle of the sharpening rods in the AutoSHARP whetstone is variable. This functionality is achieved by using side springs on which tungsten carbide grinding plates rest. The sharpener automatically adjusts to the angle of the cutting edge, so you can sharpen various types of knives, including:. kitchen knives, pocket knives, edc folders, outdoor knives and cleavers. Many knife users are unaware of the factory cutting edge angle, but the AutoSharp sharpener comes to the rescue by solving this problem and quickly and easily repairing a dull blade. With the help of a whetstone, we can also sharpen serrated knives, which usually require the use of a special sharpener. Sharpening and polishing The Edge AutoSHARP is a functional sharpener that allows you not only to repair and sharpen a blunt cutting edge, but also to smooth it(Honing). Pre-sharpening is done in the classic way, i.e.. after placing the blade in the sharpening slot (crest pointing down), we drag the knife until sharp. The angle between the handle and the sharpener base should be between 15 and 45°. Polishing is done in a similar way, with the difference that the tip of the blade should be raised upwards during smoothing. The recommended angle between the blade and the ground is 15 - 45°. Knives with a serrated cutting edge should be sharpened and polished parallel to the ground. (without tilting the blade up or down).
