The 15-element lens in 11 groups uses 2 SLDs, 1 ELD, 1 FLD, 2 aspherical lenses, and glass materials to thoroughly correct axial chromatic aberration that cannot be corrected by camera-side functions.
A stepping motor is used for the focus drive system. By making the focus lens lightweight and consisting of a single lens, it takes advantage of the advantages of a stepping motor to achieve quick focusing and comfortable autofocus with excellent tracking of moving objects.
