A diverse lineup of styli to meet your sound quality needs: While possessing the superior information volume and wide-band reproduction capabilities of microlinear styli, they also boast a rich sound image and powerful reproduction of mid- and low-range sounds. The large contact area between the styli and the sound groove reduces wear on the styli and extends their lifespan.
The body uses a paratoroidal coil structure: The AT-VMx series features a unique power generation system called a paratoroidal coil structure. The paratoroidal structure is a unitized, seamless core, so the magnetic flux is maintained within the specially wound coil. This results in improved power generation efficiency and excellent linearity.
Threaded cartridge mounting holes: Compatible with integrated tone arms, which are widely used in the global Hi-Fi audio market. The new threaded holes make it easier to mount cartridges on integrated arms.
Improved visibility of the stylus tip during operation: With conventional VM-type cartridges, we received feedback that it was difficult to see the stylus tip when dropping the stylus on a record. With this model, while ensuring compatibility with previous models (replacement styli and bodies), we have added a V-shaped cut to the protector as a guide for stylus positioning, improving the visibility of the stylus tip.
