While the size, transformation pattern, and basic construction, made with some die-cast alloys, follow the original Bumblebee toy, this ideal Bumblebee toy features updated articulation for posing and gimmicks from the anime.
The compact box-shaped packaging and Styrofoam tray are a thorough homage to the original, reliving the excitement of unboxing a Transformers product back in the '80s even more than the remake.
Bumblebee, the face of the "Minibot Army," transforms from a Volkswagen Beetle into a robot, and his car mode is produced under official license from Volkswagen.
While the original product's limited posing options were limited, each joint has been made movable, allowing for more freedom of posing.
A newly sculpted laser gun with a plated finish is included, recreating the scene from the anime. It can be stored inside the car mode.
The robot body also features the familiar "secret emblem," which appears when you warm it with your finger.
Foil stickers of the Autobot mark and chest mecha details are included for users to apply as desired.
A joint hole for the separately sold stand has been added to the back of Bumble, allowing for display in action poses.
The package illustration is a newly designed illustration inspired by the original, and a collectible card featuring the same illustration is also included.
