Get inspired by our favorite DIY recipes.Body Wash and Hand Soap - Mix ½ cup castile soap with ½ cup purified water.Shampoo - Mix 2 tablespoons castile soap with 1 cup purified water. Follow with an acid rinse to restore pH. To rinse your hair at home, mix 1 part lemon juice or apple cider vinegar with 8 parts purified water. Hand wash dishes - Add spray to hot running water when washing dishes in the sink.Fruit and vegetable wash - Add 1/4 teaspoon of castile soap to the sink or a large bowl of water. Rinse foods with clean, cool water.All-Purpose Cleaning Spray - Add 1/4 cup castile soap to 1 quart of warm water. Adding other essential oils, such as lemon oil, improves cleaning power. Pour soapy water into a spray bottle and use it to clean surfaces around the home.Mop - Mix 2 tablespoons of castile soap and 1 gallon of hot water in a bucket.Toilet spray - Combine 2 cups of distilled water and 3 tablespoons of baking soda or borax. Mix until dissolved. Place this mixture in the funnel of a spray bottle and add 1/3 cup of mild soap. Mix well to combine. Spray the solution along the inside of the toilet.
