With a total of five drivers per ear, the Quintet delivers exceptionally high-resolution audio comparable to professional studio monitors. The subwoofer employs a large 10mm DLC driver, taking advantage of DLC's high response and tensile strength to deliver impactful bass with fast decay. 2 Knowles' balanced armature driver delivers natural, high-resolution midrange frequencies, a prime example of why balanced armatures are so beloved in the industry. We're pleased to announce that the Quintet features an AMT Acoustics planar tweeter driver. [Planar Magnetic Diaphragm and Other Features] A new driver technology in the IEM industry, this new tweeter features a classic planar magnetic driver circuit but with a smaller footprint for use in a hybrid design. With an extremely low noise floor and high output capacity, this planar magnetic driver delivers crisp, detailed high frequencies that are distinct from the typical BA or EST (electrostatic) tweeters used in most IEMs today. Finally, a piezoelectric driver was utilized to achieve fine detail and airiness in the ultra-high frequencies. In R&D testing, the presence of the PZT driver significantly improved audio resolution, texture, and soundstage. Kiwi Ears Quintet uses a 3-way design, achieving complex layering and effectively reducing THD+N. Kiwi Ears Quintet's bass is limited to the sub-bass frequency range. It peaks 8dB from 20Hz to 200Hz. From 200Hz to 800Hz, there is only 1dB distortion. Treble now matches the perception of the human ear, with a 7dB peak at 2.5kHz and a gentle decay from 10kHz onwards. Utilizing this precise process, every detail is reproduced. [Superior Audio Cable] The Kiwi Ears Quintet cable is a 4-core 7N oxygen-free copper (OFC) cable that enhances sound quality. This ultra-lightweight material is used to create this cable. This cable features a universal 0.78mm 2-pin connector, making it compatible with most earphones on the market. It also features a 3.5mm stereo plug, making it compatible with smartphones, laptops, PCs, and other devices.
